About

Jinesh Timbadia joined Spice Taxation in October 2026. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser working in UK personal tax for people whose lives, families and assets sit in more than one country: individuals arriving in or leaving the UK who need their residence position settled before the tax year turns rather than after, non-residents holding UK property through offshore structures, and globally mobile professionals claiming treaty relief on overseas employment income.

He comes to Spice from Edwin Coe LLP in the City of London, where he spent more than two years in the Private Client Tax team, advising on cross-border structuring, compliance and disputes.

Before Edwin Coe, Jinesh trained at one of the Big 4 (EY)  as a Senior Tax Consultant, where his work ran to reports on stockpiled gains and net relevant income and to inheritance tax, trusts and estates. He began his career at BDO UK LLP in London in Private Client Services, advising high net worth individuals on residence, domicile and remittance status and running detailed mixed fund analysis and cleansing. In April 2022, whilst with BDO, he was one of the pioneers of BDO’s Asia Advisory Services Group, building the bridge between the UK practice and the Far East.

Jinesh returns to Singapore after a decade in the UK. Having been  born and raised in Singapore, the bridge back is a natural one for him. He speaks English, Hindi, Gujarati and Malay. Jinesh maintains deep connections to his personal and professional contacts in the UK and is often in the European region, discussing the realm of the UK private client tax economy.

He read Accounting and Finance at Warwick Business School, graduating with a BSc in 2020, and took the International Baccalaureate at Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) in Singapore. He sat the CTA over three and a half years alongside full-time practice, and was admitted to the Chartered Institute of Taxation at Drapers’ Hall in March 2025.

Jinesh is known for distilling complex structures into clear, actionable strategies, and for working alongside intermediaries and clients to  ensure client advice is provided in a clear, concise manner. . He also gives time back to the profession: often mentoring  candidates preparing for  CTA examinations and being invited to speak on moderated panels.
